It's deja vu all over again!

Thinking about the mess we may be getting ourselves into over in Libya, I decided to post this piece I created a while back. The above collage is focused on the debacle we jumped head-first into exactly eight years before we jumped into this debacle- er uh, I mean humanitarian intervention. "If only we could wind back the hands of time!" I wonder if we'll be saying that in the next few years- about Libya, of course?
Nah!

Psycho Killer

Has it been six months already? It hasn't? Oh well. Just listened to Talking Heads' "Psycho Killer" and it put me in the mood to make a little post. Here's a picture I made about some very complex, moral and geopolitical issues of the last century. How do you deal with such complexities? Paste a big juicy hammy wam over Stalin's face, that's how.

Tune in next time for more conversations on equally serious topics. Or maybe I'll just post the drawings of Beavis and Butthead I did in sixth grade.

What's the 411??

Do the kids still say that? In any case, 411 is the page number of 3X3 Magazine's 7th Illustration Annual where the work of yours truly can be found. My piece, titled The KA Christy Method of Cutting Hair, was selected earlier this year to adorn the pages (page 411 to be precise) of the book, alongside some of the best illustrators working today. Here's some glamour shots:

Pretty cool, huh? Well, I thought so. If you'd like to own your very own copy, visit this link, or go to a bookstore and look in the arts section of the magazines. Ask Charlene if you don't see it right away. Well that's all for now. See you in another six months, folks! Maybe I'll post some other work. Most likely I'll just ramble on about something nobody cares about. But no one knows about this blog anyway, so it's O.K!

3X3 Illustration Annual!

I suppose this is as good a subject as any for the first post of my blog... I was recently accepted in the 3X3 Magazine Illustration Annual. My unpublished, personal work that I lovingly refer to as "Meatbeard" will grace the pages of the annual illustration showcase, along with some of the best illustrators from around the world.

I'll be posting other personal pieces in the upcoming weeks, months or years; so stay tuned!
